Writing the Blog

People ask me how I write the blog, and how I find the time to do it.  First of all, I take copious notes when on tour.  I also do research on the places we visit to get additional information.   I squeeze out any little bits of time between excursions, bridge, teaching iPad classes, cocktails, dining and sleep to write and process the pictures.  It is a labor intensive undertaking.  I often skip the show in the evening and delay bedtime.

It is a labor of love, it is dedication, and it is discipline.  Sometimes it is hard to write and the words do not come.  Other times, I can just sit down and let them flow.  Often, I am just plain tired, but when the mood strikes to write, I write.   I do the blog mostly for myself and family as a legacy of who Michael and I are.  I reveal bits and pieces of myself in my writing and what I write about.  I report what I have heard, I try to describe what I have seen and felt.  I also write so others may get some enjoyment out of our travels around the world.  Sometimes I can hardly believe all that we have done and seen.

This is my diary, my journal, my documentation of this part of my life.  I whine, I complain, I am sarcastic, I am funny (I hope).  I try to share my excitement and joy, or my disappointments, and try to impart some knowledge about the places we have visited.  I love your comments and this too keeps me motivated.

This is my journey and I welcome you to join me.
