Observations While at Sea

After a week at sea, the personalities are starting to show up, and friendships are renewed or created.  Many of the people sailing on this cruise were on the world cruise last year.

In the bridge room, we are finding a very demanding group.  They want things done the way the bridge instructors from the last year’s World Cruise did things.  Michael has contacted each player to get their input, and we are working very hard to meet their demands.

We had 8 full tables of duplicate today.  I worked with our newbies at social bridge.  It was a long day full of bridge activities.

We dined with some interesting people last night:  the Rabbi and his wife, Morrie and Hanita, and a mother/daughter duo from England (who are bridge players), Marilyn and Trudie.  We had a fun evening swapping travel stories and telling jokes.   Trudie introduced me to a drink that is popular in England called Pims.  I have no idea what is in it alcohol wise, but there was a lot of fruit mixed in it.  It looked pretty good and refreshing so I ordered one, and being the teetotaler I am, the effects of the alcohol hit me pretty fast.  I could feel my mouth saying words, but it seemed to be coming from somewhere else.  Needless to say, I declined a second drink.
